Best times to post on social media

When it comes to social media marketing, knowing what to post is only half the battle.
Knowing when to post is critical.

​So, what are the best times to share content on each social media platform in 2023?

Handily, the good people at Hubspot have surveyed 1000+ social media marketers to get the answer. Here goes... 

Best time to post on Instagram:

• Aim to post 6pm-9pm, followed by 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm. 
• The best day to post on Instagram is Saturday.
• The worst day to post is Monday, and the worst times to post are mornings.

 
Best time to post on Facebook:

• Aim to post between 6-9pm and 12pm-3pm. 
• The best days to post on Facebook are Friday and Saturday.
• The worst is on Sunday.
• Mornings are the worst time to post - although government and non-profits have more success posting early morning.

Best time to post on Twitter:

• 9am-12pm is the best time to post, followed by 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm. 
• Friday is the best day to post on the platform, and Wednesday is just as good.
• Early mornings (6am-9am) are the worst times to post.

Best time to post on LinkedIn:

• Aim to post on LinkedIn between 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm or 3pm-6pm. 
• The best day to post is Monday, Wednesday, or Tuesday, in that order.
• The lowest-performing days are Sundays and Saturdays, respectively.

Best time to post on YouTube:

• Post between 6pm-9pm or 3pm-6pm.
• Fridays and Saturdays are the best days, while early mornings are the worst times. 

Best time to post on TikTok:

• The best times to post are 6pm-9pm, 3pm-6pm and 12pm-3pm.
• For B2B brands, Saturdays and Thursdays are the best days to post. For B2C brands, it’s Saturdays and Sundays.
• The best day to post on TikTok is Friday, and the worst days to post are Monday and Tuesday.
